Sometimes in it the simplest of touches that is the most effective.
Simplicity goes hand in hand with an elegant wedding, and this is especially true for an outdoor destination wedding. The bright sunlight, blue sky and lush green foliage of many destinations in Spain create a fresh pallette for a crisp, bright wedding. Using colourful flowers to decorate your tables doesn't necessarily mean elaborate centrepieces or large arrangements. A stunning effect can be created by using petals or small sprays of local flowers such as bouganvilla. Combine inexpensive glass containers with flowers and candles for an affordable and stylish effect that will look equally impressive in the night and day. 
Or choose small vases, candle holders or ornaments that can double as table decorations and wedding favours for your guests to take home when they leave.

It was a really happy part of my work week when I wrote emails to the finalists for our Love Poetry Competition. We launched the competition world wide, asking writers to send us their poems about love, with it's ups and downs, it's romance, it's hurts, it's passion, it's tenderness... in fact we gave them free reign to write about any topic with love as a central theme.
The entried were submitted to our judging panel, and the top three scoring poems are now on our website, for our visitors to vote on. The winner will recieve our top prize of $200, as well as having their poem published in the next issue of our Wedding and Guest Guide of Spain.

Spain was featured as one of the top destinations for weddings by Wedding Ideas Magazine this month, and The Wedding Guide of Spain was asked for our top tips to getting married abroad. Las Vegas is almost as well known for it's spontaneous, wacky weddings as it is for it's casinos. So it is no surprise that the new European entertainment complex to be built in Spain, and based on the famous American 'sin city' may include weddings chapels to cater to a similar trend.
The new city is to be build in a stretch of desert in Aragon, East Spain, and plans include 32 hotels, 5 theme parks, a stadium and conference centre. Plenty of places to choose from to hold a wedding and reception, even without wedding chapels!
The city's location is close to the Zaragoza airport, which offers low cost flights from several airlines. No doubt we will see wedding planners across Spain offering packages to this location as soon as it is completed. Official plans will be released in the next few weeks, and we will keep you posted with any tentative completion dates.
